2013 Benefit in Honor of Christine Lagarde

Christine Lagarde began her five-year term as Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund in July 2011, after having served as France's Minister of Economy and Finance for 4 years - the first woman to do so in a G7 country. Prior to joining the French Government in 2005 as Minister for Foreign Trade, Madame Lagarde was the Chairman of the Global Executive Committee of Baker & McKenzie in 1999, and subsequently Chairman of its Global Strategic Committee in 2004. Christine Lagarde will speak on the Global Economy.
